Skate Punk Band FIDLAR Review
New Band Making Waves Out Of California
FIDLAR is a skate punk band from Los Angeles California. The band’s name is an acronym for ‘Fuck It Dog, Life’s a Risk’; a skate mantra created by singer Zac Carper’s former roommates. The members of FIDLAR were seemingly destined from birth to play in a band with a role model father from the legendary punk rock skate band T.S.O.L.
Elvis Kuehn (guitar/vocals) and Max Kuehn (drums) are the sons of Greg Kuehn, keyboardist for Long Beach punk legends T.S.O.L., while Zac Carper (vocals/guitar) is the son of famed custom surfboard crafter and designer to the pros, “John “JC” Carper,” who works out of his home based shop in Oahu Hawaii. Along with Brandon Schwartzel on bass, the Kuehn brothers and Carper came together in 2009 form the California based (slash) skate/surf /garage/-punk rock band known as “FIDLAR.”
Originally; FIDLAR went under the name ‘Fuck The Clock.’ Three years after recording their first songs they stepped on stage together with ‘The Black Lips’ and then went on tour with ‘The Hives.’ What kind of luck do you have to have to debut on the road with two seasoned bands who bring in large crowds of fans everywhere they perform. Instantly they were signed for a major label contract and in 2013 they released an album under the same name titled ‘FIDLAR,’ which sent them onto a new playing field far different than the house party weekend gigs they were used to playing.
Before long, the four FIDLAR members were cohabitating in a pad on Figueroa Street, getting the job done with DIY rehearsals and recording their party tunes on site for friends and family. FIDLAR haven’t stopped touring since their early beginning performing at local high schools and house parties, dating back to 2009 when band name was ‘Fuck The Clock.’ So ‘FIDLAR’ feels they’ve paid their dues and are ready for the spotlight and the long road of touring.
As much as most would hate to admit it, you’ve got to love the youngster’s party songs and their classic humorous lyrics. Below are some of the, “I don’t give a fuck” lyrics I pulled from their smash album titled ‘FIDLAR.
In the hit song “Cheap Beer” the lyrics say; “…getting fucked up on the 101, shooting our guns and having fun, 40 beers later and a line of speed, eight-ball of blow and a half-a-pound of weed. (Chorus), “I drink Cheap Beer – So what – Fuck you!” “I drink Cheap Beer – So what – Fuck you!”
In another song “Stoked and Broke” the lyrics say; “I just want to get really high, smoke weed until the day I die, I don’t ever wanna get a job, if I fucked up today hey, nothing’s wrong. Getting pissed up by the hills, on cocaine and shitty pills, get head in a broken car, with the windows up and the lights turned off. There’s nothing wrong with living like this, all my friends are pieces of shit…”

A Look At RC Fishing World Remote Control Fishing Pole
RC FISHING WORLD is a site that looks like using r/c boats for fishing is here to stay. They sell a bunch of different style r/c fishing boats for under $100 bucks. I probably spent more than that on fishing tackle alone this season.
Catching Fish with a R/C Boat!
R/C Fishing is happening, and places like Youtube are becoming the proving grounds. So, what can you catch with a rc boat, and how does it possible, is it fun? I had to do some homework, and found that with the right setup you can catch fish and it’s not expensive. For $19.95 RC FISHING WORLD carries something that just attaches to any r/c boat to turn it into a r/c fishing boat! Does it work?

The videos put it to the test and show a guy catching a pretty big looking catfish, probably 4 pounds or so. The idea has really got me curious so lets see where this all goes, I’ll add some videos when I find them, maybe some product reviews.
I heard Fat Boy Dan, (a very popular Youtube fishing guy) is doing a video on “The R/C Fishing Pole”, his video’s are so funny too so we’ll look forward to seeing it!
